Has the Christian Faith been Corrupted?
Most Christians "accept" the doctrine of the Trinity. These Christians identify themselves as Trinitarians. However, most "Trinitarians" do not know what the doctrine of the Trinity actually teaches. Click on the links below to learn what Trinitarians believe.
In John 17:17, during an intense prayer to His Father, Christ stated, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." Since Christians are followers of Christ (not followers of the Pope or any pastor or other human being, dead or alive), Christians assert "Sola Scriptura!" which means "The Bible! and the Bible only!" Therefore, Christians believe God's holy Word -- the Bible -- is the Christian's creed and the ultimate source of authoritative Truth.
So what are Christians to do if a supposed "biblical" doctrine (teaching) is so confusing and mysterious that it causes division and discontent -- the very opposite of its purpose and power to unite His people in truth and to sanctify (make holy, purify) them for their salvation.
