Best Weigh
Week #1: Exercise

Exercise for Weight Loss Quiz

Although weight loss is similar in many ways for everyone, your experience will be "different" in many ways than that of other Best Weigh participants. Also, this weight loss effort will be "different" for you than your previous efforts. Limited success before does not determine your success this time. Remember, you are wiser, better prepared, and more equipped this time than ever before, and your OptiHealth Coach is available to help.
Having some general knowledge and personal insight into the problem of being overweight or obese can be very helpful in anticipating and persevering through your weight loss program.
Best Weigh Quizzes are for education, not testing. Take the quiz, check your answers (using the "?" icon) and read the explanation given. Then submit your score. You should get 10/10.

True. Fortunately, being overweight is reversible by changing your food choices and eating patterns. You do not need to depend on pills or surgery for a "cure." (They do not work.) A therapeutic lifestyle change will cause you to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, which will reduce your risk of chronic diseases accordingly.
True. Fortunately there is a simple way to fix this situation: start exercising. Just start walking on a daily basis and gradually increase your physical activity as you are able. As you lose more weight, you'll enjoy your walks more and more. You'll not only keep the weight off, you will gain a host of additional health benefits, as well!
True. But do not let this discourage you. Use it to motivate you! Developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has been shown to modulate gene expression. Your heredity does not have to be your destiny.
False. Although the promise of a "quick fix" is appealing, it is a lethal deception. Don't let all those weight loss scams fool you -- and rob you of your time and money. We'll help you learn how to gain control of your weight in the "best way" that is right for you -- and we are here to help you for free!
False. There are many Bible verses, inspiring stories, wise counsels, and personal promises that can build your faith and ensure your success in permanent health behavior change. One favorite for many is found in 1 Corinthians 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
True. America is getting fatter and sicker -- just look around. Is this the "new normal?" In the face of this trend, you can choose to reverse it for yourself and not be another sad statistic.
True. Obesity is a common and challenging problem making it ripe for exploitation by offering the "latest and greatest" weight loss program. But after several decades and hundreds of different programs, America is still getting fatter and sicker. Fortunately, there is sound science to healthy personalized weight loss. It's simple, and with Best Weigh, it's free! But it does require commitment. You can choose to ignore the hype and learn how to recognize the false and often dangerous claims, so that you will not fall and get stuck in the trap of empty hope ever again.
True. Obesity can lead to depression, which can lead to despair, which can lead to hopelessness. If you are on this tragic course, don't let that discourage you. The sooner you change course, the easier and sooner you will find relief. A therapeutic lifestyle change (from the depths of depression by faith) changes everything for the better!
True. This is not only because we become less active as we get older, it is also because we tend to get more stubborn -- stuck in our ways -- as we get older, as well. Your attitude about change can be either your excuse not to try or your motivation to win! Fortunately, your attitude (believe it, or not) is your choice.
False & True. This is a "trick" question, because it depends on the person. Weight loss is possible for everyone, because it is a choice, and we all have free will. But for some people weight loss is impossible because they have turned their will (regarding their diet) over to the forces of evil, which only want to destroy you. Fortunately, the will can be taken back and given to Christ who desires your good and has the power to transform (re-create) your heart and mind, making healthy food choices not only possible, but easy! Another favorite Bible verse for many is found in Mark 10:27 - And Jesus looking upon them saith, "With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible."

How many did you get correct? Were there any that you did not know, but now understand and agree with the answer given? You should score 10/10!
